This kitchen was so much fun to see the transformation. The client did not want to remodel but did want to look like they had a more custom kitchen. By removing the half wall and lowering the height we could make the peninsula much bigger and make the room look much larger. Sometimes small changes make a big difference
These clients wanted to make some changes and updates to the kitchen. The biggest change was raising the ceiling up. This does not show in the pictures well, but it was raised up over 9″. This caused us to have to look at the upper cabinets and what to do with the new space. We went with new uppers, crown molding, new tile back splash and new granite counter tops. We then added new lighting and new pulls updating the rest of the room.
I just finished working with a client that we added a back splash to their kitchen. This client wanted to add some bling to their very neutral kitchen. They needed not only function but something to make their kitchen shine and stand out in their open floor plan. Every thing in their home was similar colors and horizontal lines. We placed the tile on the vertical to help break all the horizontal lines up. We also were faced with where to end the tile over the sink area. I suggested leaving the tiles rough edges and making it look like a mountain which had a personal meaning to the family. The end result was wonderful.
