A young client of mine wanted her room to be special. She loved bold colors. We started with finding a great bedspread and designed the room using those great colors. I wanted to make sure the room was extra special so I selected a chandelier for her lighting. The room turned out great and she loves it.
I feel you should always design your master bedroom first. This is the room that you spend a lot of time in. This room I feel need to be a place for you to relax and recharge your batteries. Here is a before and after picture of a new light in a Master Bathroom.
(Please note that this light is not to code, homeowner understands this and is taking responsibility for this fact.)
Game rooms are always fun for the family. This home had a large open basement area, and the family wanted to create a game room. We put in a pool table, with a seating area that includes a high table and chairs that will hold the pool sticks while playing. We added the hard cornice and made a matching light box for above the table.
Is it time to De-BRASS-ofy your home? What does that mean? If you home still has all the brass fixtures from the 80’s and 90’s it might be time for an easy update. Just changing out the brass light fixtures in your home can make it feel like a new place. After light fixtures you can look at the door handles and any other brass you might have. Don’t forget the outside lights.
Lighting is an element that has a dramatic effect on the feel of a room. If you are looking for a quick update to do in your home, besides paint, lighting is a quick change with a grand effect.
Here is an example of a home that updated their lighting. See the difference new lights make.
